puder!”. O moleque no sinal de transito, descalco, vende bugingangas. Centenas
de tuck-tucks coloridos cruzam a cidade. No centro, poucas pessoas transitam,
dificil achar um lugar aberto para comer. As pessoas tem a pele escura e
cabelos lisos e negros. Na minha terra chama-los-ia de “cabo-verde”. O ar super
umido me faz lembrar Cartajena, Colombia.
A cidade

The feeling of arriving at the night in the capital Colombo is like to be thrown into a pot with water vapor and the first thought that comes is: Tomorrow, if is sunny, I`ll melt! First observation, even before leaving the airport: the duty free shops sell various appliances, refrigerators, stoves, washing machines ... never seen this in any other airport, but with the undervalued currency, should be very expensive to buy products like this . Chaotic traffic. All honking madly to inform that go to, or complain about what others have done, and thus no one understood, is the typical "save yourself if you can!". The kid in the traffic sign, barefoot, sells trifles. Hundreds of colorful tuck-tucks cross the city. In the center, few people move, hard to find an open place to eat. People have dark skin and straight black hair. In my country calls them would of "Cabo verde". The super humid air reminds me Cartajena, Colombia. We do not sling off his and the sweat of the body, always demanding a new bath. I felt a little vulnerable when walking on the street at night, even when accompanied and wearing modest clothing. Not distinguish well knew that the men were trying to be sociable, or whether they were excited to see a different "meat Piece" of walking the dark streets.
In the cafeteria, only option to stave off hunger, they manipulated all our request with his hands, the same manipulating the money and it is known what it seconds ago ... "frescurites" part, I could not eat. The city seems to be all in the works. On the streets with old houses, rise up new residential buildings and the tamping of eh redone Avenue. Mango and coconut trees in the metropolis me pluck smiles and awaken the feeling of being at home. Heat! Sweat! Humidity! Welcome back to the summer !!!
